Privacy Policy

Readiness is built privacy-first. In plain terms: your Apple Health data stays on your iPhone. Pro's cloud analysis sends a handful of numbers derived from it — never the Health data itself — and can be switched off. This policy explains exactly what the app does with your data.

1. What the app reads

With your permission, Readiness reads the following from Apple Health (HealthKit):

• Heart rate variability (HRV)
• Resting heart rate
• Sleep
• Active energy / activity

It uses these to calculate your daily readiness score and to write on-device insights.

2. Where your data goes — nowhere

• Your score, your day logs and your Apple Health data are processed on your device. Your raw Health data is never uploaded, and there is no account and no login.
• The one exception is the Pro cloud analysis described in section 3, which sends a few numbers — never raw Health data — to our server. It is optional and can be switched off in Settings.
• Scores, day logs, and settings are stored locally on your device (and in your private iCloud device backup if you have that enabled — controlled by Apple, not us).
• We use no analytics or advertising SDKs. We do not track you and we collect no personal data.

3. AI insights

Free plans: insights are generated entirely on your device. On iPhone 15 Pro and newer with Apple Intelligence enabled, Apple's on-device model may write them — this also runs locally. For everyone else, insights come from a built-in, on-device generator. Nothing leaves your phone.

Readiness Pro: the deeper analysis and the coach chat are written by an AI model that runs on our server. When you open the app each day, Readiness sends that server:

• today's readiness score (0–100) and its zone;
• how far each metric sits from your own baseline, as a percentage;
• your recent daily scores;
• your language code, so the reply is in your language;
• for the coach chat, the messages you type in it;
• a short memory the coach keeps between conversations — up to eight one-line facts drawn from what you told it, such as a race you're training for or a niggle you mentioned. It is stored on your phone and sent back with each question. You can read it and erase it in the chat, under "What the coach remembers", and it never contains your health data.

It does not send your name, email, account, device identifiers, or any raw Apple Health data. The request carries nothing that identifies you. Our server holds no database and stores no request contents; its logs record only that a request happened, its status and how long it took. To write the text, the server passes those numbers to an AI provider (currently OpenRouter, which routes the request to the model) over an encrypted connection, and returns the answer to your phone.

You can turn this off: Settings → AI insights → Cloud analysis. With it off, Pro behaves like the free plan and everything stays on your device. The app also falls back to on-device or offline text whenever the server can't be reached.

4. Notifications

If you turn on the morning reminder, notifications are scheduled locally on your device. We send no push notifications.

5. Purchases

Readiness Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. Apple's privacy policy governs that transaction.

6. Children

Readiness is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country) and does not knowingly collect data from them.

7. Deleting your data

Everything Readiness keeps is stored on your device, so deleting the app removes your Readiness data from that device. We have nothing to delete on our side: the cloud analysis stores nothing. Your Apple Health data itself stays in the Health app and is managed by you there.

8. Changes to this policy

We update this policy and the App Store privacy label before any change to what leaves your device, and describe it clearly. The Pro cloud analysis in section 3 arrived this way in version 1.2.
